Happy 2009-2010 school year.

I'm Kathleen Minear.  I went to the University of Iowa for elementary education and graduated in 1984.  I moved to Mason City in the fall of 1985 to teach eighth grade communications at Roosevelt Middle School. I graduated from Drake University in 1992 with a masters in effective teaching.  I came to Jefferson Elementary in 1998 to teach fourth graders.  This is my 26th year of teaching.

My daughter, Haley, is attending college with the intent to teach high school or college math. 

In my spair time, I run, swim, walk, read, quilt, and walk my dog.

I'm looking forward to another great year.
